Sri.U.Ve. Dr.M.A.Venkatakrishnan Swami is an eminent Ubhaya Vedanta Vidwan. Under the tutelage of Sri.U.Ve Prathivathi Bhayangaram Annangacharya of Kanchipuram, he mastered the texts of the Vaishnava Sampradhaya. He has been awarded M. Phil degree for his dissertation on Tattvasara of Vatsya Vardacharya and Ph.D for his thesis on 'Sri Bhasyam' of Swami Ramanuja. He has been conferred with the highest degree D.Litt. for his work on "Vainava Acharyargalin Vaazhvum Vaakkum" He is the key person to set up the Department of Vaishnavissm in the University of Madras Sri. Kanchi Maha Swami conferred on Dr.Venkatakrishnan Swami, the title "Medhaavimani," for his works and publications. He is the editor of 'GEETHACHARYAN'
