Chidanandam - Malladi Brothers Live at Chidambaram - 3 ACD | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Malladi Brothers namely Sreerama Prasad and Ravi Kumar are among the best and most sought after musicians today on account of their perfect technique, deep knowledge and fertile creativity. Their concert repertoire is always refreshing, with rare and new compositions of various composers, sung immaculately by the duo. This concert is no exception. The brothers present rare compositions in ghana ragas like Kalyani, Dhanyasi, Sindhubhairavi. Muthuswamy Dikshithar's masterpiece in the raga Bhupalam, Sadachaleswaram finds an important place in this concert with a breathtaking alapana preceding it. The RTP in Shankarabharanam provides a rich musical experience. Representing the inimitable 'Pani-Bani'(Pinakapani style) Malladi Brothers are known for their perfect sruthi aligned renditions with profound commitment to classicism. S. Varadarajan is a seasoned and much sought after violinist. His eloquent essays of the ragas and other aspects are precise with a good degree of felicity. The Taniavarthanam by K.V.Prasad and V.Suresh is meticulously structured and very pleasing.
