Tallapaka Annamacharya was a Telugu saint composer of the fifteenth century who composed 32,000 songs, most of which were in praise of Lord Venkateswara. The musical form (keertanas) that he composed has strongly influenced the structure of Carnatic music compositions, which are very popular among Carnatic musicians. He is widely regarded as the Pada-kavita Pitaamaha of the Telugu language.
