Padmasri Kadri Gopalnath is a renowned Indian saxophonist and one of the pioneers of Carnatic music on the saxophone. He is hailed as the "Saxophone Chakravarthy". So successful has his adaptation of the instrument to Carnatic Music been, that Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, the doyen of Carnatic music, acknowledged Kadri Gopalnath as a true musical genius.
